Infants and Toddlers

Research emerged in the mid-1990's that revealed much about early brain development and the critical importance of the early years on later development. Additional research has demonstrated a strong connection between teacher/caregiver education and training, and the quality of child care.  In addition, a correlation between program quality and child outcomes has been established. The consistency of these findings highlights the critical importance of providing high quality programs and services to infants and toddlers.

These links will provide resources for Higher Education Faculty, Early Childhood Education students, Trainers, Child Care professionals, Family, Friends and Neighbors (FFN's) who care for children, and parents of infants and toddlers. There is also information on federal and state policies, as well as research and evaluation.
